Onederland Events celebrates 12th Anniversary with new website!
It's a brand new day...
I’m going to be brutally honest here. I completely hated my old blog page. Like a lot! So when I decided to redesign our website, I couldn’t wait to trash it all! And let’s be real- you weren’t reading it either (and I know this thanks to Google Analytics). So we’re starting FRESH and I couldn’t be more excited! Sometimes you have to completely start from scratch and that’s ok.
On May 9th, Onederland Events celebrated our 12th anniversary. I went down an extreme internet rabbit hole researching the meaning of the number 12. According to a few numerology sites, 12 is a number of completion. A chance to wrap things up before moving onto something better. And that’s how I feel now that this website has finally launched!
With every redesign, I think about my first site. A designer friend and I tried to find the best stock photos to fill in the missing pieces from the few events already under my belt. My best guy friend, Cliff, used to always nag me for not having enough photos. It was so hard to get quality photos back in the day. This was pre-amazing camera phones and pre-Instagram filters after all. I think about him saying that to me every time I redesign this website. Because now, I have far too many photos from awesome events to choose from. We haven’t had a stock photo on the site since 2007. Also, you can find all the photos that couldn’t fit on the website on our Instagram, @onederlandevents.
The goal for the new blog is to be your destination for all things related to creating amazing celebrations. We want to be your go-to spot for real, honest advice, beautiful event recaps, vendor profiles and a look behind the scenes on how we pull it all together. And let us know what you think too!
